Acceptable Use Policy
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Illegal or Harmful Content
You may not upload, transmit, or display any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, threatening, invasive of privacy, or that infringes any intellectual property, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any party.
Prohibited & Regulated Menu Items and Products
1. Strictly Prohibited Goods (Zero Tolerance)
You may not list, advertise, offer, or sell through the Services any of the following items under any circumstances:
- Illegal Drugs & Controlled Substances: Narcotics, recreational drugs, cannabis, THC, CBD products (where prohibited by payment networks or governing law), synthetic drugs, and drug paraphernalia;
- Pharmaceuticals & Unapproved Medicines: Prescription-only medications, unapproved health supplements, toxic or poisonous compounds, or products claiming unsubstantiated therapeutic or medicinal benefits;

- Stolen or Counterfeit Merchandise: Pirated goods, counterfeit designer replicas, or stolen property;
- Protected Wildlife & Endangered Species: Food, meat, or products derived from protected, threatened, or endangered wildlife contrary to conservation treaties (including CITES).
2. Restricted & Regulated Items (Permitted Exclusively Under Legal Conditions)
Certain goods are subject to strict regulatory conditions and licensing:
- Alcoholic Beverages (Beer, Wine, Spirits): Permitted solely if the venue holds a valid, active liquor license issued by relevant municipal and national authorities. The venue assumes sole and exclusive legal liability for verifying the legal drinking age of guests, ensuring lawful serving hours, and complying with all applicable licensing regulations. In jurisdictions where alcohol sales are legally prohibited, listing alcohol is strictly forbidden;
- Tobacco, Shisha & Hookah: Permitted only where authorized by local hospitality regulations, subject to mandatory age restrictions and payment processor policies;
- Raw & High-Risk Foods: Items presenting elevated food-safety risks (such as raw oysters, steak tartare, or unpasteurized products) must display mandatory health warnings and allergen advisories as required by food safety authorities.
3. Merchant Warranties & Platform Enforcement Rights
You warrant that all items listed on your digital menus are lawful, sanitary, unadulterated, accurately described, and compliant with all applicable health and commerce laws. TableGreet reserves the unilateral right to audit menu listings, immediately remove non-compliant items without notice, report unlawful offerings to law enforcement, and suspend or terminate your account with zero refund. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TableGreet from any fines, damages, card scheme penalties, or legal claims arising from items listed on your menus.
Reverse Engineering & Security Circumvention
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Services. You may not circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security-related features of the Services, including features that prevent or restrict use or copying of any content.
Service Disruption & Abuse
You may not: (a) use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Services; (b) send excessive requests that unreasonably burden our infrastructure; (c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, other accounts, or related systems; or (d) upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
Misrepresentation & Impersonation
You may not impersonate any person or entity, falsely claim an affiliation with any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or the origin of any content you upload. This includes creating accounts with false information or using another person's credentials.
Competitor Intelligence & Resale
You may not access the Services for the purpose of building a competitive product or service, or resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the Services without our express written consent.
Regulatory & Compliance Violations
You may not use the Services in a manner that violates applicable laws, including export control regulations, anti-money-laundering statutes, sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU), or data protection laws including the GDPR and CCPA.
Physical QR Code Security & Anti-Tampering
You have an affirmative obligation to inspect, monitor, and safeguard all physical QR code materials (table stickers, acrylic stands, tent cards, posters) deployed across your premises against unauthorized physical modification, vandalism, or fraudulent sticker-swapping ("quishing"). You must promptly remove and replace any compromised QR display and notify TableGreet immediately upon discovering physical tampering. TableGreet provides cryptographically authenticated digital destinations but disclaims all liability for fraudulent redirects or damages resulting from physical tampering on your premises.
Direct Marketing & Anti-Spam Compliance (WhatsApp, SMS & Email)
You may not harvest, export, or use phone numbers, email addresses, or guest contact details collected through digital menus, digital receipts, or guest ordering to send unsolicited direct marketing, promotional SMS messages, or bulk WhatsApp broadcasts. Any marketing communication to diners requires explicit, documented, opt-in consent collected in strict compliance with applicable anti-spam and privacy laws (including GDPR, PECR, TCPA, and regional spam legislation). You must provide a clear, frictionless unsubscribe mechanism in every promotional message.
Minor Protection & Physical Age-Verification Duty
You acknowledge that digital menus and table-ordering QR interfaces are automated electronic presentation tools and do not substitute for in-person age verification. You maintain an absolute, affirmative, and non-delegable legal duty to have your on-premise service staff physically inspect valid, official government-issued photo identification (passport, national ID, or driver's license) prior to serving, dispensing, or handing over any age-restricted, licensed, or regulated product (including licensed alcoholic beverages, tobacco, shisha/hookah, or highly caffeinated items). TableGreet expressly disclaims any and all liability for a venue's failure to verify guest age or for any unlawful supply or dispensing to minors.
Customer Reviews, Feedback & Anti-Defamation Standards
Where the Services enable diners, guests, or venues to submit reviews, ratings, survey responses, or culinary feedback, all users agree to adhere to strict truthfulness and civility. You and your diners may not: (a) post defamatory, libelous, obscene, threatening, or racially harassing content; (b) orchestrate or submit fake, fraudulent, or compensated reviews (astroturfing); (c) attempt commercial extortion or review blackmail; or (d) post negative ratings against commercial competitors. In accordance with statutory safe harbor frameworks (including 47 U.S.C. § 230, the EU Digital Services Act, and applicable regional intermediary laws), TableGreet acts as a passive conduit and hosting intermediary for third-party user feedback and disclaims liability for guest opinions. TableGreet reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to investigate disputes and unpublish or permanently delete reviews that violate these standards.
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund, and may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities where required.
Intellectual Property Rights
TableGreet's Intellectual Property
The Services, including all software, algorithms, databases, interfaces, designs, text, graphics, trademarks, trade names, and other materials, are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of TableGreet LLC and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest in TableGreet's intellectual property. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Services solely for your internal business purposes during the term of your Subscription.
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all Content you upload to the Services, including menu data, images, logos, and branding. By uploading Content, you grant TableGreet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, reproduce, and display your Content solely as necessary to provide the Services to you. This licence terminates when your account is deleted and your Content is purged from our systems.
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your Content and represent and warrant that: (i) you own or have all necessary rights to the Content; (ii) the Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; and (iii) the Content complies with all applicable laws, including food labelling and allergen information regulations in your jurisdiction.
AI-Assisted Features & Automated Translations
The Services may provide automated tools, including artificial intelligence (AI) text generation, automatic multilingual menu translation, and automated nutritional or allergen labeling suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that: (a) all AI-generated content and automated translations are provided on an advisory, assistive basis only; (b) TableGreet does not warrant the linguistic, cultural, dietary, or allergen accuracy of automated translations; and (c) you maintain sole and non-delegable responsibility for reviewing, verifying, and approving all translations, descriptions, and dietary declarations before publishing them to live customer-facing menus. TableGreet expressly disclaims any liability for allergic reactions, consumer confusion, or regulatory penalties arising from reliance on unverified automated translations.
Feedback
If you submit any feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant TableGreet an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, implement, and commercialise such feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
DMCA & Copyright / Trademark Infringement Notice Procedure
TableGreet respects the intellectual property rights of others and operates in strict compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512, "DMCA"), the EU Digital Services Act, and international intellectual property treaties. If you believe in good faith that any photograph, menu artwork, logo, trademark, or graphic hosted on the Services infringes your copyright or trademark, you or your authorized legal agent may submit a formal written Takedown Notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at legal@tablegreet.com containing:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright or trademark owner or an authorized representative;
- Specific identification of the copyrighted work or trademark claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the specific venue URL, digital menu link, or image locator sufficient to permit TableGreet to locate the material;
- Your contact details, including legal name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or trademark owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Upon receipt of a legally compliant notice, TableGreet will expeditiously remove or disable access to the infringing material and notify the affected venue. If the venue believes the removal was a result of mistake or misidentification, it may submit a formal counter-notification. TableGreet maintains a strict policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of venues who are determined to be repeat infringers.
Fees, Billing & Refunds
Subscription Fees
Access to paid features is subject to payment of the applicable subscription fees as published on our pricing page at tablegreet.com/pricing. All fees are:
- Denominated and charged in the currency displayed at checkout
- Billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle, as selected by you
- Exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax), which will be added where legally required
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. TableGreet does not store raw payment card data. Your use of payment services is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
Failed Payments & Suspension
If payment fails, we will retry the charge up to 3 times over 7 days. After the third failed attempt, your account will be downgraded to the free tier. If no free tier is available for your plan type, your account access may be suspended. Upon payment of all outstanding fees plus any applicable late penalties, access will be reinstated.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated to you via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the new prices take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing applies.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refunds and cancellations are strictly governed by TableGreet's Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms an integral, legally binding part of these Terms.
- Monthly Subscriptions: 7-calendar-day refund window from the date and time of the initial payment. An approved refund immediately terminates the paid subscription and downgrades the account to the Free plan.
- Annual Subscriptions: 14-calendar-day refund window from the date and time of the initial annual payment. An approved refund immediately terminates the paid subscription and downgrades the account to the Free plan.
- Cancellation vs. Refund: Cancellation stops future recurring renewal while maintaining paid features until the expiration of the current paid billing cycle. No voluntary prorated refunds are issued outside the applicable commercial windows.
- Statutory Consumer Rights: Mandatory statutory consumer protection rights, distance selling remedies, and cooling-off guarantees under applicable governing laws remain fully preserved.
Payment Disputes, Chargebacks & Fraud Allocation
You acknowledge that you are the merchant of record for all transactions conducted by your diners or guests via digital menus or table ordering. You bear sole and exclusive financial responsibility for all customer payment disputes, fraudulent charges, credit card chargebacks, reversals, and associated processor dispute fees. TableGreet and its integrated payment processors reserve the right to automatically debit, offset, or recover any chargeback amounts, dispute penalties, or merchant fines directly from your account balances or linked payout accounts.
Tax Compliance & Merchant of Record
You are solely responsible for determining, configuring, collecting, reporting, and remitting all applicable local, regional, and national sales taxes, Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and municipal hospitality levies applicable to your food, beverage, and service sales. While the Services provide automated tax calculation and itemization tools, TableGreet does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice and is not responsible for any under-collection, misclassification, or audit penalties incurred by your venue.
Gratuities & Tip Labor Law Compliance
Where diners elect to include voluntary tips, gratuities, or service charges through digital ordering or payment flows, you maintain exclusive responsibility for allocating, pooling, reporting, and distributing such gratuities to your service staff, kitchen personnel, or contractors in strict compliance with applicable wage, tip-credit, and labor legislation in your jurisdiction.

- Scheduled maintenance windows (communicated at least 48 hours in advance via our status page)
- Emergency maintenance required to address critical security vulnerabilities
- Downtime attributable to third-party infrastructure providers beyond our reasonable control (e.g., Supabase, Cloudflare, Google Firebase)

Service credits for downtime below the SLA target are available on Pro and Enterprise plans only. Credits must be requested within 30 days of the incident and are capped at one month's subscription fee.
Offline Contingencies & Guest Walkout Disclaimer
You acknowledge that cloud-based digital menus and ordering systems depend on local wireless connectivity, cellular data networks, and third-party telecommunications infrastructure. You agree to maintain reasonable offline contingency procedures (including physical paper bill presentment or standalone card terminals) to process orders and settle guest bills during any technical disruption. TableGreet expressly disclaims any liability for lost revenue, unpaid customer tabs ("walkouts"), delayed kitchen orders, food spoilage, or customer dissatisfaction arising from local network interruptions, venue hardware failures, or cloud platform downtime.

Each party agrees to maintain the confidentiality of the other party's Confidential Information and to use such information only for the purposes of performing obligations or exercising rights under this Agreement. Each party shall:
